Cough cough bean :(

Since we came back from HK - sophie has been coughing..I strongly believe she caught it from Jin (who btw was so stubborn not to eat his meds)..so she has been missing all her JG classes and visiting Dr Frances twice a week to get her baby MC for replacement classes (JG does not give replacement classes unless we show the MC).

So how has she kept herself busy being stuck at home? By learning new tricks of course..this is her being a boi boi :p




and of course she keeps falling, and..keeps crying bcos the floor's hard and her face and head hurts. I have half the mind to keep the horse away till she's bigger..orrrrr, I just get her another playmat? :P

We heart dim sum and Hong Kong

Back from our 4 day HK trip with beansprout. she was super clingy to me - did not even want jin to carry which meant achy arms and shoulders from carrying a 10kg toddler. ouch!


We found new dim sum places - one at central and the other, a hole in the wall at Mongkok. Love the OVOlogue ambience (they did win a Gold award for interior design ;) but love the food at Tim Ho Wan more..very delicious HK dim sum indeed.

Got the chance to spend an afternoon with lisa and family. Lunch followed by strolling the markets at Stanley - bought bean her 1st pair of brown coloured shoes for $20.

Overall a very good trip cos bean slept well at night and I got see beautiful HK and walk the streets of Mongkok - really enjoyed the hustle and bustle.

"The Devil Eats Prata"

HW is such a darling - she invited us to join her at the Fly Entertainment's 10th year anniversary bash. The theme of the event was "Devil eats Prata" - they had a local reenactment of the hollywood movie. Hilarious and good fun throughout - held at the newly opened Klapsons Hotel. (pix taken with jin's 2mb iphone camera :p)

Bean finally meets some giraffes

NOT only did she get to see them, she got to feed them!!

We joined as Friends of the Zoo so now we can visit the zoo anytime without paying high entrance fees per visit and parking :) Bean also got to see the polar bears, deers, rhinos, ah mengs and some parrots. Me thinks she had a lot of fun!

A good laugh with friends and charades

WH invited us for a wine and cheese party at her new home. We were stuffed with otah bruschettas, pasta, tempura okra, bacon-asparagus wraps and lots of cheese and wine of course. After dinner, it was a game of movie charades, boys vs girls. The guys won but seriously, who can act or guess "the road to ithaca"? good grief! :)

B = bus, bird, ball, bike and Birthday

Jin turned another year younger last saturday..we started off the day with brunch at Spruce. Love the ambience but service was horrible. One wait staff serving 8 tables - our orders were taken after nearly 20 minutes, coffee was served a good 15 minutes later. Halfway through, there was a power outage and we had to wait for our bill. The food was so-so, maybe marred by the long wait times.



Sophie was recovering from Roseola so with her face in red patches, we decided to cancel dinner plans for Jin. Instead, we did the cake cutting (got a durian cake for jin!) on sunday. Look at the happy faces :)


The last part of the bday celebrations was a one night stay at Ritz Carlton. Love love love the hotel.
