Back to Bangkok - raya weekend break

Jin's gone off for his massage and bean's knocked off in her hotel crib. We are staying at the Furama Asok. Location's not bad as it's like a 7 minutes walk to the asok bts and they serve a full breakfast. It's also near our 2 fav local noodle shops at soi 20 and 26.

Bean has been an awesome baby/toddler,..she smiles at everyone and does funny things to make us laugh. she does get grumpy cos she hates being confined into her stroller..but once we let her loose - she runs off giggling and squealing with happiness. One thing we noticed about most Thai makan places is that there are no baby chairs readily available. So bean gets to sit on the adult chairs and every 2 minutes, listen to her parents say "sit still, do not get up"..and amazingly, she listens! hurray!!

I just had a quick chat with G on messenger. Seems lyn is in labour! how exciting to that I am going to be an auntie 2nd time round..I cant wait to see how dylan looks like....20.09.2009, what a date!!

Smiling bean at 14 months

We took bean for her jab last week and she's now 10.7kgs (90 percentile) , 76cm in height (60 percentile). Our little toddler bean is growing well :)

She still loves eating..I say "still" cos i have heard that once they start conversing, they get really picky on food. Our saturday mornings are usually spent in a cafe enjoying a breakfast of pancakes and bread.

Soph is def more communicative..she can say : ball, bird, book, shoes, wait (i am always telling her to wait for her milk to warm up), pink, nai nai..I love how she does her "good":)

this is what she shows when we ask her how old is she or is the food good? :)

snack time at Julia Gabriels

our little cheong sam bean

future pom pom queen

Enjoying din with her fav aunties and uncle

Besides the eyes closed smiles, we have one cheeky bean on hand :)

Where o where are the giraffes?

Giraffe? where daddy where?

wahh..hunky..bean like :)

We took bean to her first zoo visit tonight..Night safari tickets were buy 1 free 1 so $22 got both jin and me in (bean gets in for free!). we attended the night performance by some otters, racoons, hyenas and boa. The show was super boring with fake accents by all the zoo keepers. bei ta han! Bean could not see everything as it was quite dark - she seemed more interested in the crowd, she kept saying "hi" to everyone near her and clapped when everyone clapped :)

As the sky was starting to make rumbling sounds, we headed towards the east side of the park to look for the giraffes `cos we had been promising bean she could see them on the car ride over. 15 minutes later - we found them at the far far end of a very big field munching on their greens - separated from us by a little stream...dang, i was so hoping bean will see the giraffes up close :(..now we know why people pay lots for African safaris :p

Overall, our little one seemed to enjoy herself..she saw the msian tiger, lots of the deer family, zebras, a huge rhino, snakes and fish - and she was alert and curious throughout ..told Jin it's probably time for us to buy the annual zoo hopper pass :)

What crosses my mind every other minute?

....besides whether I put on or lost weight, the thing that always come up is if I should be a SAHM ..today Sophie went for a trial class at Julia Gabriel and it was so much fun,,and I know that she will benefit from it..but they ONLY have weekday classes..and how is a FTWM supposed to attend weekday classes with the little bean? grrr

Some pix of bean enjoying snack time at JG trial (my heart gave a small tug when I saw her sitting by the table, feeding herself..it's like..where did my baby girl go to?!)

And some random pix taken over the weekend - I love that we can now walk to Holland V for breakfast on the weekends. We includes Sophie ;)
